Thursday is Friday September 30th and there's just 5 days in the quarter and finally back to getting it now since it's been a busy past two days so hopefully all of you are working hard and do everything you can because today is the day. your missing assignments there's our upcoming calendar so next week the Army over here at lunch Tuesday will be the field trip and the Marines will be here at lunch for those if you stay behind and a Grizzly will be presenting on Wednesday I quarter War I'll be on Friday and Saturday is the cash for College event at Ventura College Oxnard College fall break I hope you all very well and has brand new quarter when we returned on Tuesday the 18th at night is financial aid for our seniors to apply for College event will also include chores and can help you get rid of so that's a big event with a lot of Celebration and things happening the Tuesday event is a calm mellow night at the former High School library so both are great events and both require you and your parent Guardian to attend with you financial and tax information on the 20th we will be celebrating the great ShakeOut every year that is the California great ShakeOut earthquake drill so we will be participating in all right field trip forms are due today if you do not have your form and you want to have your form you can make calls home and we can have you have a parent bring them in a reminder we will provide you with lunches and only stands without a level a level 3 Behavior or an will be able to attend we are going to the beautiful Campus of Pepperdine so it's a bit of a tracks about an hour long bus ride but it's beautiful along the coast as you see those houses are along the beach in that picture there right below the campus for a lot of things famous people live in a lot of those students attend Pepperdine continue International has Spanish heritage month on here we're going to celebrate our very own hero Miss Jackie Gonzalez I'm going to read her quote I am a very proud daughter a Mexican immigrant parents I am a first-generation Mexican-American my first language was Spanish my parents really drop me off at kindergarten knowing full well I didn't know any English figure it out I'm the middle child but oldest daughter cousin in granddaughter in my family I was the first only girl in my family to go to college my sister later attended my life has had many and downs but long story short seasick weather I went to Community College transfer to four-year bachelor's that my Master's and in between all that I cried last night but it was all worth it I'm living the life at high school me would be very proud my parents were not perfect they love me but always know how to show it to me and it was really hard and lonely I am still working through that in therapy now LOL but I'm also thankful for everything they sacrificed for her to get us here only 60% of Latinos get their bachelor's and only 4% I am proud to be part of that 4% to make my people proud as mentioned in the calendar that event for former high school is for the fast Landry back on Tuesday October 18th is from 5 to 7 p.m. in the former High School you will need to bring a parent Guardian a laptop income tax W2 social security number or permanent resident number if it's cool and your parents marital status or date as well as current and savings investment information location done everything with you this weekend's event is that all three of the caliph Metro College just which are more Park Oxnard event go to any one of them it is 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday please let me know if you need a ride I am willing to drive family if you need help tutorial today I'll stay until the sea or higher gets to enjoy free time for tutorial if you have a deer and a few will be working on this is your last chance to turn in assignment so uses time well support each other and help each other Focus to finish strong friends don't let friends fail so please encourage your friends stay focused and get things done ignore them if they distract you gratulations to our students of the week Mr commissario magana or making up all missing work when you came back from being sick immediately got to work to catch up and has excellent grade mr. Vivian Gonzalez Mrs Henry Daniel Melendez for showing kindness and respect at all times for Mr lomeli also very magana for coming in each morning to get those grades up I just want to add that Ariel that is great you're being a true warrior you know exactly what to do when you been home sick to work hard catch back up don't give up and you don't accept what they are that is impressive good work and for Mr Gonzalez Sammy Pacheco for an A in our history class and improving her attendance excellent job since week you will have a prize at finals week see you next week is finals week so you need to be here on time. Because that is your last push to get your grades in and do a wonderful job and then you'll get to relax for your fall break alright we're here. a great week get your work done
