happy Friday February 11th 2022 alarm for expelling and academics for mr. Thomas angeletta mittens for putting forth an effort to be successful already has college application way to do students near soap have you come up to the office for a sticker and a picture for your parents without your permission all right students it's time to have a heart-to-heart as you know we are very open-minded about Berry Farm and artwork and expression and they can be very much appreciated and they are not turned away here while they're at school however we do want to make sure that you were aware of the cautions that having a tattoo done or when you're on a minor or in an inappropriate or unsanitary situation we want to make sure you're educated and fully aware some of the risk you might be taking if you're taking it upon yourselves to go get a tattoo at this time all of her students to deeply researched the problems with being a tattoo from the inappropriate tattoo kits that can be purchased online for hundred dollars those are not meant for human those are for training and training only they are to be used on fake skin or on fruit and is not appropriate for your skin they have the wrong chemicals in them and there's been people getting terrible infections and terrible reactions to the chemicals or the uncapped bacterial growth growing in the sink and some of the metal I want to repeat they're not meant for humans tattoo kits the only real tattoo equipment can be purchased online with people from a company then you have to verify that your certificate is valid so please be mindful that if it's somebody purchasing an online is not meth Remington you're introducing a great risk to your skin if you use them in there is a giant laundry list of blood-borne pathogens that are really frightening that you could be introducing into your skin no joke if your tattooing at home can not using the sanitary condition true tattoo artists who have their certification get a thorough training and certification and have the right chemicals to get rid of all of the bad things that could be entering your bloodstream everywhere in their facility not just on the needle or wearing gloves it really is important that you go to a certificated place that means all of the help. That are set by the state and by the local community Public Health tattoo ink from a tattoo kit from China is not going to be safe on real skin travel from China is not it could have been that are highly toxic and illegal in the United States in other countries that don't want these pictures alone or frightened and would cause permanent permanent permanent damage to your body if you really want to make you aware before you consider getting a tattoo or giving you if a tattoo do your research deep deep research really wait until you're old enough research a great artist that is very talented that uses all the sanitary thing really really do your homework before you decide to get it is a lifelong commitment getting a tattoo laser removal are healthy safe and can proud of their decision of what they put on their body at all time now that I've covered some of the risks and dangers of tattooing I do know that there are some fantastic artists here at our school who are interested in becoming a tattoo artist so are those of you that that something that you're considering for your future please research the California safe body art act requirement there is a requirement that you can start now in order to be a become a tattoo artist upon graduate I'm turning 18 in California you also must complete accounting approved training course in bloodborne pathogens and those are things that we can help inner office to figure out and learn where to do that if you need that training reach out to Miss Jackie and we have some contacts so we can get you into that training and the other great thing you need to do is get an apprenticeship you artists are constantly advertising looking for apprenticeship so you need help with that to see Miss Jackie there as well we can help you get together a portfolio so that when you turn 18 have your vaccinations and have taking your training course in bloodborne pathogens can be coming to practice and be a fantastic artist and do it the right way all right we are proud of you that are trying and exploring your creative talents and we want to support you any lomeli still 94% blows one more student who is here today is going to be able to get it done 89 Travis 89 Gonzalez 93 Costco competition as well Travis is at 84 so we might have to carry and 72 LaValley's have when is Gonzales at 50% for not done in the worrying around from first. Henry Miss Jackie no tickets go on sale on the 15 and the 60 jump up to $25 each Sierra students can buy tickets in the summer high school students tour between 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. each day we want to make sure you're not on campus after their lunch ends and we also don't want a few minutes after 3 so it won't be busy with you we are Lamar High School GPA list so they'll have that there to check off so you'll want to probably check before you go over there to make sure you qualify City Hall on February 26th I'm not exactly sure of the time it'll be on your ticket add a reminder there's no school on Monday which also happens to be doing it in celebration of Lincoln's birthday which is tomorrow so how a very Happy Valentine's Day on Monday we wish we could be speaking of President Lincoln his birthday is tomorrow so here is a quote from him those who deny freedom to others deserve it not for themselves. well he didn't believe in slavery he also had some some conflicting information that he would stay in his demons like having black slaves get their freedom by Pitch Perfect some great things and also has a great idea that our students look at it see what he his thoughts and his actions were around those time in regards to slavery and Prejudice speaking of all of that our picture I asked for our Black History Month we have our eat after he left he knows who made important contributions to US history and today we are focusing in Arturo Alfonso Schomburg was a historian writer researcher and carrier library and became the starting point for today Hamburg Center for research in Black Culture Schaumburg was also part of the Harlem Renaissance in the United States and a supporter of Independence for his native Puerto Rico
