good morning Warriors happy Wednesday April 12th 2023 these are students of the week or nominated the Friday before you went on vacation for mr. lomeli Jose Jimenez for getting all of his work done from Mr Gonzalez Josh Gonzalez for doing great newest government from Mrs Henry for Jonathan patino improving his grades from Mr Chavez Emily tomorrow for being extremely focused and do an excellent work in English 11 for mr. Eddie Mendoza for stepping up in PE and SP with great warrior prize congratulations all of you you will be getting a front-of-the-line lunch pass that'll be good until next week at this time you will be getting it in your first. Class today reminder seniors you must be passing all classes in order to participate in senior activities passing classes is a d or above and Senior Sunset senior filtrate and many more things are coming up and you want to be able to participate in them here's our calendar for the rest of the school year yes it all fits on one page now how crazy is that we're getting that close to the end so Friday is career day we can have guests on campus make sure you impress them with your professionalism we want them to go back out to the community and say wow Sierra students are a great place to be hiring students from next week will be progress report midweek and then we will have State Testing for all of our Juniors and any seniors who have not taken their science test the following week soon will be pulled for makeup test and then some of the things to look at to senior dinner on Friday the 26th more information to come Disneyland is scheduled for the 1st of June we're going to have a field day dress rehearsals and then graduation on the 7th and our last day of school will be a barbecue and award ceremony for our students and that'll be it it'll be summer it is moving fast which is why we are on top of you and your grades because before you know it you will be out of time to do any makeup work it is critical that you are here everyday on time so you don't miss a Milner opportunity to get every Point possible we're going back to our Paws and we're on the S4 pause so if you're feeling that you're getting stressed or about to implode set boundaries separate and safety that stands for us take a break so that others are able to you and others are able to regulate your emotion to be able to show respect and to continue to have dignity often times when we lose our temper we also lose our dignity and they can be embarrassed by our behaviors and actions it is okay to say I might lose my temper so I need to get some fresh air to whoever you're having interaction with cell regulation is key anger is a secondary emotion which means it comes from somewhere else maybe you are afraid of something maybe you were triggered by something maybe you are sad by something if you're embarrassed oftentimes anger comes immediately after that first emotion and we don't pause to recognize what that first emotion was Paws and get some time away from the issue tell the other person that in order to be respectful you need to have a moment to get your composure that said you are responsible for your actions even if you are triggered and blow up it is your job to self-regulate it is your job to monitor your temper if you lose your temper have a frustrated Throne or disrespectful that you're responsible for your fighting and repair that relationship there are natural consequences and their imposed we will impose on you if you lose your temper in a way that is not satisfactory for school so think about how you affect your behavior as well as how you affect how others feel about you in the room as a reminder the rotary scholarship is due on Friday Mrs Henry is messaging each senior right now with each with the application every senior should be feeling this short application there's a short essay to write very short basically anybody who applies will get money so you want to take advantage of it dress code level 3 dress code meanings are starting to be scheduled we're waiting on sweatpants to write but once they do students who say I don't have anything else to wear and their parents say they don't have anything else to wear are going to be required to change into sweatpants so start getting your own clothes that fit soon as being pulled aside to remind them that their clothes are not approved are also having their parents notified each time they're going to get sick of us calling and messaging them as a reminder pants need to stay up on your waist on your it's at least without about pants can be more than one size too big if your waist is a size 38 in your pants can be a size 42 in difference is what a size 8 pants must be able to stay in your hip so that about Hot Pockets in the groin of the pants must be at mid thigh or higher they should not be going down to your knees Disneyland update so far we have raised $3,000 of the $7,600 needed we will be asking for donations from families and can't ask for money from the community without any additional donations the price would be $115 per student and we are working hard to get that down our goal is to get it down to zero but it might be around 50 or $75 if we can't get too many more donations so be considering that as look I had more information to come by Friday all right you didn't have a great Wednesday
