Warriors happy Thursday April 19th 2023 there are just 25 days left of school until final so that means just 25 days left of school to get all of your assignments turned in calendar today we are doing laptop day I will be talking about that more than a few slides you'll notice on here we've added graduation speech drafts do are on Monday so if you're interested in participating in the graduation and giving a speech to write a rough draft over the weekend and turn it in on my I will pull you out of class to talk about it we've added a couple of things so on the 8th of May is open house more information to come and on Wednesday we're planning a caregivers dinner on Wednesday May 10th which happens to be Mother's Day so if you have and and a sister at a t i g a woman or not woman that has been in your life as a caregiver who nurtured you we want to honor them during a dinner on Wednesday May 10th some more information to come on that as well reminder that this is disability awareness week I found two wonderful quotes a disability doesn't have to be a social barrier good adequate begins with inclusion not exclusion and it is not possible to be favored favor of justice for some people and not be in favor of Justice for All People by Martin Luther King jr. Saturday is the prom if you're going to strike him as he will be chaperoning so we'll see you there reminder mrs. Henry needed to sign your reforms I am told they were due yesterday but double check with your friends over if I'm high school if that is true if you have a deal or a nephew or not permitted to go so come talk to Mrs Henry that is a concern and we'll see what we can do to get straight up by the end of the day Friday if you're taking a class in cyber how you independently are responsible for doing it and messaging us to take your test may need to build turn on your test and prompted them to reach out to Miss Jackie or Mrs Henry and we will get you on the talk students without there being pulled from electives lunch after school to get caught up or else I have a meeting so make sure you are getting your grades up because we will be continuing to schedule parent meeting so they've been very helpful to hear your parents here to talk about how we can best support you so get those grades up as you know State testing is coming this is your last state test after this you will not have any more state test you are required to get your 11th grade testing you seem to have your science test done this is your last chance to own your state test that means do your best make yourself proud that you gave it your best effort don't just wing it in and blow it off this is your chance to get a a great report your own progress see if you've done better than the last time you took that state test Morrissey testing Thursday today all Junior should have brought their laptop and charger to school stay for the weekend if you didn't bring it will be calling home to have them drop it off today because tonight we are having them I'll get checked and make sure that they are all in working condition tomorrow during tutorial the computers that are all computers including seniors that are here will have their computers check out and see if they can do the take a test portal on their computer and that the Sound Works because it'll be our last chance on Friday to get any corrections or updates taken care of then Monday morning next week all students will go to their first. Class and get their assignment for the week of what class they need to be in during State Testing seniors and sophomores have assignments and is that a required during this time and absences will continue to affect your grades all Juniors will have to language arts test 2 math lesson 1 science test to take about four seniors have a science has to take within it take last year and all makeup test so if you're or you missed a day you're going to be taking us after school until they're done and we don't want that for you so please just for the best do the best that you can for the next week to get here on time everyday so you can get that assessment completed graduation speakers off draft over the weekend bring it in on Monday we're going to read them over and get some advice and try and get you some time to practice and will help you be an excellent graduation speaker and we will have some try out soon who is going to be speaking so please take advantage of this opportunity what do you want to say to your parents to the families that are there to your classmates to your teachers to your staff and to the community of Fillmore Piru this is your chance to address them so think about what you would want to say what inspiring words do you have Disneyland again has been moved to June 5th it will be just as you in California that saved us a lot of money and we will be there at the same time as Fillmore high school we have almost every single student if you divide up with the left to to fun from sponsors we have about $30 per student needed to pay the rest of the way ask your family ask your friends if anybody wants to donate and support is seen at the tickets are now $104 total purse divided the remaining amount sets $30 per student and if you can help that would be awesome I hope to get all the donations by Friday but if you can't afford to help out on Friday I will continue to take them well into May so that way we can replenish the money that I need to take out if our donate so everything helps if we happen to get any extra which we might not at this point but if we do get extra it'll go towards the barbecue on the last day of school to make it a really fun day as a reminder dress code so extremely oversized pants if a student is wearing screw me over by his pants the teachers are to send them to the office and a change of clothes will be provided or students will be able to call teachers if you see someone that's whose pants need to be changed doubt the office has access to the changes of clothes send them on it and we'll get them changed all right everyone have a great Thursday there's just six more Thursdays to go until the very last day of school so get to school
