McGuire's happy Monday May 8th there's just 14 days of school until finals Healthy Start on Monday let's take a moment to get Reese entered and focused on about you but Monday mornings are often rushed and hard to wake up and hard to get cool so I feel a little bit panicked and frantic in the morning so why do we take a minute to just slow down our heart beats take time to breathe with this heart you want to match it see how good you are at matching the depth of this press cuz it is a little long as you breathe in think of a good outcome you want for today as you breathe out but out any frustrations you have new breathin Centre intentions for the day calm hardworking relaxed what do two more every time you switch. So you should take a moment as you get to class so just some good long breast to calm your heart and get yourself re-centered on a scale of SpongeBob how are you feeling today use the number to label your emotions so take a look number one are you feeling sad and upset go to Angry Birds 3 happy and before loved number 5 are you scared or number 6 are you sleeping which one are you go ahead and say it out loud to your neighbors what are you thankful for today count your rainbows not your thunderstorms here's our calendar coming up as you can see you again closer and closer to that graduation day and our last day BBQ towards tonight is open house we have a couple of other things coming up this week so I'll get to those sides in a moment open house tonight at 6 to 7 here there will be some food first come first serve we didn't order too much because the past we haven't had very many students arrived but that's okay because Fillmore High School is having a car show and they have food truck starting at 5:30 tonight so if you start your evening there at Fillmore High School go check out their car show in their food trucks and then make your way over here with your family to give you are of your classes show your family where you sit introduce them to your teachers and show them any work you have up on the walls or any projects it's an opportunity just to have a relaxed atmosphere to come and talk to your teachers and say hello we have to see each and every one of you here it's really aren't your parents get a chance to understand what you go through each day and what it looks like from your side of things so grab your parents kept your family member Grammy friends whoever it is and show them around on Wednesday ready honoring the woman who helped you become you so if you haven't already please get on a reservation this we need to know how much food to bring the evening of Wednesday May 10th we will be having food here for your families will be having some games and activities on the table for you to do with the women that you bring it's about opportunity for you spring high quality time with them and give them the attention that they deserve as it is the Mexican mother day Mother's Day and we want to make sure that any woman in your life weather be your mom your aunt your sister your best friend but whoever has helped shape you to become who you are we want to on this day we have been invited to go to elementary field ease and help him so students with A's and B's on the day of the event will have the option of going to the elementary schools to help with their field days it'll be a fun day for you off campus you'll be given some assignments of what field station to which teachers to support during their field day so you might be running dodgeball games you might be running face painting and you might be helping with music for musical chairs who knows variety of games and will need some assistance or you might just be there to help kids play and have a good time so if you're interested in that there's going to be a sign of dropped in teams later today you got to make sure your grades are up and you have a field trip form to turn in will have sign ups for you soon and you'll get it texted let us know who you're interested in going we also have our sierrafield days ahead so we want to start planning some things what would you like to see on our field day so that typically the last week of school we do some outdoor activities to get you guys out of the classroom having some fun making some key memories so think about what you'd like to see on our field race were thinking maybe some water games if it's going to be warm some old school elementary activities to think back to when you were in elementary what did you like playing back then we might have the setup just so you could relive your childhood a little bit we can do a little belly ball tournament kickball tournament frisbee golf corn hole or I put a survey in teams to let us know what you're interested in and maybe some suggestions on how we can run it or it could be a free-for-all little scary we will make sure you guys have some fun that day and as you can tell our quarters getting closer and closer so students with us are getting pulled from electives and luncheon after school to get caught up so don't be surprised if we could pull you out to work on those crates also noted in our calendar is that you'll be having your last i-Ready test soon the test Excel this exactly how much you've grown this year so we can pair what you score the beginning of the year till now so if you did not put enough for the beginning of the year and got it first grade level I'm sure as heck better see you getting upgrade way up because I know none of us are. shallow header school you have been working too hard so make sure that this I ready test that's coming up shows exactly how much you have improved do I need to take take your time and do your best efforts this data is used to measure if Sierra was a good decision for you so if students take the test and go backwards on the test we have some concerns if she didn't take this test and don't make any improvements we have some concerns we use this information to tell us what interventions are needed it's used to measure our success here at Sierra please take it seriously we use it to measure whether or not you might need to go back to Sierra High School from the Fillmore high school for some other interventions that they might have that we don't so please do your best on this show growth
