is Thursday February 2nd and there are just 24 days left in the corner record of the day all things are connected like the blood that unites us we do not weave the web of life we are whatever we do to the web we do to ourselves from Chief Seattle when I talk to you for a moment about mindfulness we're going to start practicing a little bit of mindfulness in our announcement today how to respond to stress it brings awareness to what's happening in the present moment then simply acting instinctively it's a non experience for you to evaluate your thoughts and Sensations you focusing on some breathing that helps your brain regulate itself it causes the chemicals to do what they need to do in order to bring confused it's a way for you to create a space between yourself and what you experiencing so.. Stress that you might be feeling it times can MRSA be released you're going to start to recognize with out of your control and let go of those things so you can move on from it it's not easy and it takes practice what's right with our next slide we're going to take a moment to match her breathing with the heart so as you see the heart opening that's when you're going to take a deep breath in and as it closes you're going to let it go see if you can match the positives and the breast with the heart as you're breathing you're by yourself wonder your brain water and get caught by the center while your focus anytime you're feeling stressed or overwhelmed or before you know you're going to be stressed overwhelmed it's a good idea to come back to this activity you can find many of these on the internet where you help me learn to practice this country breathing the pausing is very important between each breath taking your time with it and just thinking about the breathing hard alright so here's our calendar for the week we're going to be checking your grades on Friday we also have a campus visit permit reprogram the school's coming to that they offer next week Ventura College will be here yes with application as well as a financial aid night on Wednesday the 8th and Thursday were calling it halfway there because the halfway mark for the quarter or Cordoba 50% over I heard recently kids saying oh my gosh I didn't realize how fast the quarter is going and it's very true that's why we're sticking monitoring your grades and letting you know because at this point we're halfway through we want to make sure that your grades are where they need to be safe but you can be comfortable and the rest of the quarter so if your grades are low and they're stressing you out use this time to chip away and bringing them back up if you continue to let them stay in the low grades and they're going to get just harder and harder to recover right now is the time to focus on bringing your grades up it's a reminder we don't have school on the 13th and the 20th thank you present for having birthdays on the 14th we do have a Valentine's Day we will be doing some fun celebration the counter is also the February 28th field trip to Ventura College to tour their exciting trade classes which is Child Development R&D Automotive architecture construction drafting all of these include Hands-On Macan rooms and things like that can get at or what those look like we'll talk about their programs but space is limited all permission slip turn the office and are due by February 24th it is first come first serve there are no if you have already have a deal right now if we really do need you to stay on campus so that you can continue to improve your grace if you're able to not have a d r f in time on February 24th then you will be allowed to go on the field trip have a very happy Thursday
