good morning Warriors happy Tuesday it's Valentine's Day and we are so glad you are here there are just 17 days left in this quarter so make sure you're here every day on time all right let's re-center ourselves on this fresh new Tuesday which feels like a Monday so we're going to try to take a moment to breathe at this heart so even if you're not paying attention see if you can take some deep breaths to re-center your heart rate and your thoughts for this day so you can be focused on learning so breathe in with the heart as it gets larger and slowly breathe out with it as it gets smaller see if your lungs can catch up and partner With This Heart you probably feel silly doing that so let me tell you that this is related to bring research it shows that by monitoring and being thoughtful about your breathing your chemicals in your brain send out the right amount of Serotonin to help you get calm and into a good space so anytime you're feeling rushed or distracted or you want to change your thought process you want to take a moment to catch up and breathe slowly with this type of teasing all right so Miss Jackie wants me to make sure you know that the kind of child where's will be announced today at lunch the top three winners with the most tickets will get prizes so make sure you count your kindness pooping coupons and get ready to have them at lunch or make sure your name is on all of them so you can get prizes she has a lot of prizes to choose from is Art coming calendar you'll see now that I've added 1/4 for start so today is Valentine's Day we have an army recruiter on campus next week we have Ventura College Workshop coming to join us 2nd. And your progress reports with me once again sent to parents there is no school again next Monday if you are wanting to go to Ventura College to go visit the automotive the Child Development classes the architectural classes all the fun things like welding and stuff you want to make sure your field trip forms are too. It turned in on Friday and have no deals R Us on your report card as of that Friday afternoon so be getting those grades up those of you that are interested in going it's a day off of Campus it'll be a lot of fun we also have our finals week on this calendar you'll see that there's a Saturday supposed to sorry on play the 25th not this Saturday but next Saturday there is a Saturday school for those who that need to get some extra BP to boost your grades and we will have our finals week and end-of-quarter awards you'll notice that quarter for starts on the third week without Saturday we will go spring break for one week quarter for is the ultimatum for all of you seniors trying to get your 2.0 GPA in order to participate in graduation so be mindful that if you don't get a 2.0 or higher this quarter that means next quarter you're going to have to get an eve GPS to do your best to get every class up every gray that is higher contributes to improving your GPA so let's say you have a class or you're probably going to get a deed has it's hard then make sure you get an A to balance out that be all right add a reminder you need to have a pass to get to the office if you are trying to come to the office without a pass you'll be sent back to your class if it is an emergency your teacher will notify us with the radio but other than that you may not wander into the office I do not want her out of your classroom without mission please get your water on your way into campus everyday Rosso have them on her car if they will only be available before school and if there's any left at lunch other than that you must use the water fountains ASP is going to start selling cold water at lunch so look for it on the cart and start bringing your dollar bills I don't know what the prices will be yet but they will be making that announcement later here's what that passed to the office looks like you cannot see message Jackie without it you cannot come to the office without it unless there is somebody anyway for you all right we're using this to monitor how awesome is Jackie is being seen but also to limit the amount of interruptions when students have a crisis we have all the students coming up just to talk or just to say something or get something or just wasting time because they want to get out of cuz I'm bored so we need to make sure that mrs. Jackie and those students who really really need her their time is protected and valued is reminder that field trip is on the 28th when you get this field trip forms in by the 24th if you want to go you need to go to the office before after school to get the field trip form for Miss Beatrice in the office Ventura College Pirate Day is coming so only seniors that have completed the Ventura college application and have done the port orientation or able to attend so please see Miss Jackie to register she will help you for that pirate it is not a field trip for us it'll be a lot of fun mr. Gonzalez Miss Jackie are also throwing together a field trip on the weekend so there is a Latino college at UCSB in Santa Barbara if you're interested in going to see mrs. Jackie or mr. Gonzales for more information as a reminder bathrooms were closed immediately after the lunch Bell for 30 minutes every day unless you have a doctor's note so if you are needing to use the restroom at lunch use it at lunch you will not be permitted for 30 minutes after the lunch but that is our camp provisors lunchtime but it's also an opportunity for you to get used to not go to the bathroom immediately after lunch write a quote of the day the way you get meaning into your life is to devote yourself to loving others devote yourself to your community around you and devote stop to creating something that gives you purpose and meaning by Mitch Adams we say this because you are are why is Sierra we have devoted Our Lives to committing to this community and our students and loving you guys so that you can find your own purpose and meaning in school so it's important that devote yourself to that same cause and purpose it'll be a great Improvement to the community Fillmore Piru and the rest of the world so thank you have Phil Collins sings day
